James Kokalj

James Kokalj has a passion for helping entrepreneurs and loves to see their ideas crystalize and be a part of their growing companies. He began his legal career as a legal intern in China representing growing companies receiving investments from venture capital and private equity funds. After graduating from law school, he worked in New York representing private equity funds and their portfolio companies. After moving to Wisconsin, he has focused his practice on helping people reach for their dreams. The most fulfilling part of his career has been applying his corporate law knowledge to help small business and witnessing them grow. The energy of startup companies draws him to this field. Here he applies his experience dealing with numerous corporate structuring, corporate finance, and corporate governance issues to help businesses put their best foot forward and grow to meet their founders’ and owners’ dreams.

Within the community, Mr. Kokalj helps organize TEDx Madison, advises non-profits, and takes part in the startup community.
